About the Central City Roundtable

The Central City Roundtable convenes Portland’s civic leaders around a shared commitment to the long-term health and vitality of the Central City. The Roundtable brings together leaders from business, real estate, arts and culture, education, philanthropy, and community institutions – working together to make Portland work. The focus is on implementation: identifying what moves the needle, aligning across sectors, and supporting results people can see and feel.
Mayor Keith Wilson and Nolan Lienhart formed the Roundtable to carry forward the vision and 2030 goals outlined in All In on Central City, the report developed through the Governor’s Central City Task Force in 2025. The focus is on implementation: keeping attention on the agreed priorities and helping move the work forward.
What the Roundtable Does
The Roundtable serves three primary functions:
1
ADVANCE PROJECTS THAT MOVE THE NEEDLE
2
ALIGN LEADERS TO DELIVER.
3
STEWARD THE VISION AND TRACK PROGRESS

Members discuss projects that require civic investment across sectors and help connect them to the right partners, funding, or policy support.

The Roundtable gives the Mayor and partners cross-sector feedback on Central City issues and opportunities, helping to identify barriers early and inform major decisions.

A public website, project map, and dashboard track progress on key indicators. An annual impact brief summarizes results and next steps.
Membership
Members are selected to ensure cross-sector representation and are expected to advocate for the Central City as a whole rather than individual interests.
